Most people have spent the first part of their fertile life trying not to get pregnant. They assume that if they stop trying to prevent pregnancy, it will just happen. Sometimes that is true, but it is not true for ever increasing numbers of couples today.

25% of couples that are actively trying to conceive, cannot.

Are you trying to conceive?

Let’s look at Laura (not her real name). She has been married for 4 years. She and her partner are ready to have a baby. She stopped using birth control over 2 years ago, but she is not pregnant yet. She is beginning to wonder what is wrong with her, and is not sure where to start.

Are you like Laura, trying to conceive?

Here are the first 2 critical steps:

•  Learn to understand your menstrual cycle
•  Maximize your health

See several other posts to help understand your cycle.  You want to know if it is normal, and what your fertility signs are.

Learn how to chart your menstrual cycle to better follow these signals.  Learn how to maximize your health to support your fertility. This will include information on nutrition, sunlight, attitude, exercise, sleep, and toxic exposures to avoid, and more.  You should also learn about specific health conditions that can affect your fertility if you have any medical issues.
