Education

Dr. Veronica Tilden graduated from the University of California at Davis with a B.S. in Environmental Toxicology.  She attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences in southern California. During medical school she was honored to be chosen for the fellowship program in the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Department, spending an additional year teaching and treating patients.  Dr. Tilden then did her internship at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, California.

Lectures

Dr. Tilden gives lectures at medical conferences and nutrition conferences nationally.  She also enjoys giving lectures in her local community.  Dr. Tilden is particularly sought after to speak on holistic health, children’s health, nutrition, fertility and hormonal issues.  She brings her knowledge, experience and unique holistic approach to every lecture.

Practice History

Dr. Tilden opened her holistic medical practice in Davis, California in 1997.  In 2001 she relocated to Nevada City, CA where she is still practicing.

Dr. Tilden has had a passionate interest in nutrition since high school when she took her own food to athletic competitions instead of eating the fast foods readily available.  In medical school nutrition instruction is notoriously minimal.  Dr. Tilden went to the library and read extensively and had discussions with her professors to discover the best nutrition for human health based on science and not opinion.  She continues the study of nutrition today.  The research of Dr. Weston A. Price, DDS has particularly influenced her perspective on proper nutrition.

Dr. Tilden trained as an herbalist before attending medical school.  She did a lengthy apprenticeship, delving deeply into this knowledge.  She continues to use and study herbal medicine to help her patients have more options to heal naturally.

As a traditional osteopath, treatment of each patient is extremely important to Dr. Tilden.  She is able to recognize the health within a person by putting her hands on and observing. Techniques follow as a way to help restore the health, allowing the body to engage the inherent healing mechanisms within.   Dr. James Jealous has been one of her most important osteopathic teachers since medical school many years ago.  He is one of the most influential and forward thinking osteopaths of today, and founder of the Biodynamics Program.

Dr. Tilden practices the health and lifestyle approach she encourages for her patients.  She eats well, exercises regularly, gets plenty of good quality sleep, avoids toxins, keeps stress levels low, and has a spiritual practice. She is always studying and learning and bringing cutting edge ideas to her practice.

Dr. Tilden understands that you need an ally to help you navigate the potentially uncertain journey of your health.
