“It is the object of a physician to find health, anyone can find disease”
Andrew T. Still, DO (founder of Osteopathic Medicine)

Many patients come to Dr. Veronica because they have not been helped elsewhere or they want a more holistic approach.  She addresses the cause(s) of the problem, and does not just offer solutions to suppress symptoms.  She takes time to understand your situation in detail and help you figure out how to regain your health.

Dr. Veronica treats patients of all ages with all medical problems.  She loves treating children, and believes it is critical to help them have the best possible start in life. She also helps couples with fertility problems and both men and women with hormonal issues, including  puberty, menopause, erectile dysfunction, and more.

Dr. Veronica is dedicated to helping all of her patients have vibrant health and the life of their dreams.

“Osteopathy…is a healing power through all of nature”

Dr. Andrew T. Still, DO

Dr. Veronica opened her medical practice in 1997.  She has practiced in Davis, CA, Nevada City, CA, and Hohenwald, TN.  She has now moved back to her hometown of North Fork, CA in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountain foothills and near the spectacular Yosemite.

As a traditional osteopath, treatment of each patient is extremely important.  Dr. Veronica is able to recognize the health within a person by putting her hands on and observing. Osteopathic treatment allows the body to engage the inherent healing mechanisms within.  Dr. James Jealous, founder of the Biodynamics Program, has been one of her most important osteopathic teachers.

Dr. Veronica practices the health and lifestyle approach she encourages for her patients.  She eats well, spends time outside in the sunshine, exercises regularly, gets plenty of good quality sleep, avoids toxins, keeps stress levels low, and has a spiritual practice.  She is always studying and learning and bringing cutting edge ideas to her practice.

Education

Dr. Veronica Tilden graduated from the University of California at Davis with a B.S. in Environmental Toxicology.  She attended medical school at Western University of Health Sciences (College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific) in southern California. During medical school she did a fellowship in the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Department, spending an additional year teaching and treating patients.  Dr. Veronica then did her internship at San Joaquin General Hospital in Stockton, California.

Dr. Veronica trained as an herbalist before attending medical school and continues to use and study herbs to help her patients have more options to heal naturally.

Lectures

Dr. Veronica gives lectures at medical conferences and nutrition conferences nationally.  She also enjoys giving lectures in her local community.  Dr. Veronica is particularly sought after to speak on holistic health, the lifestyle factors that affect your health, children’s health, nutrition, fertility and hormonal issues.  She brings her knowledge, experience and unique holistic approach to every lecture.

History

Dr. Veronica grew up in the mountains, riding horseback, backpacking and observing nature.  She has had a passionate interest in health and nutrition since high school.  In medical school nutrition instruction is notoriously minimal.  The research of Dr. Weston A. Price, DDS documented the diet of healthy traditional peoples, and has particularly influenced her perspective on proper nutrition.  Having always been in private practice, no “system” is limiting her options for helping people, and she is able to offer safe and effective treatment and information for each individual situation.

Dr. Tilden understands that you need an ally to help you navigate the potentially uncertain journey of your health.
